Marimo Moss is a rare type of living green algae that's native to Japan. They get their round shape from rolling across the bottom of lakes with the tides. Marimo Moss are considered good luck and a symbol of everlasting love, making them great gifts for your friends and loved ones. Marimo Moss make a great low-maintenance pet for the home and office, since the only care they require is occasional water changes and low light.
In this class you will make your own Marimo Moss aquariums. You will also learn about the Marimo and how to take good care of them. Aquariums will be customizable with your choice of lightbulb and corked bottles, as well as choice of gradient including homemade sea glass and pebbles. Class price includes one aquarium with one marimo. Upgrades and additional marimo will be available.
Class will be open 6p-9p on Friday the 7th and 14th and 1p-4p on Saturday the 8th and 15th; drop in and take as long as you need. We will serve light refreshments.
